Court Instructions

Refurbished Courts

As you know we have had the courts resurfaced at considerable expense and they are playing well. New courts can, however, be susceptible to damage, particularly in the first year or two. To keep the courts in good condition the Committee would be grateful if you and your families would take heed of the “Use of Courts” guidelines – click here. The main elements of the guidance are,

  • STOP play immediately if the surface shows signs of softening in warm weather.
  • Do not go on the courts with muddy shoes. There is a mat at the entrance to clean shoes.
  • Wear appropriate tennis shoes on the courts.

A copy will also be posted on the courts. Please also let a Committee member know if you see the courts being misused. Recently we noticed that a football was being used on the courts which is not only inappropriate but can damage the nets.

Many thanks for your co-operation
